Company Information: Liveye is a young and dynamic software developing company located in Italy. They are engaged in data security issues like secure deletion of sensitive information and on-the-fly file-system encryption. The company has 2 offices, main (financial) located in Milan and secondary (development office) in Crema. The company owner, Federico Simonetti is a professor of “Operating System Security” at the University of Milan. He has been involved in the Information Security software development for the last 14 years now.

Janna Chelsy: What were your main challenges which made you searching for this kind of software?

Federico Simonetti: I was building the new version of my virtual encrypted disk software and one of the main goals was to be able to hide container files. This could be done in many ways, but none of them was really secure, we were looking for a software solution to hide those files even in case the system is booted in Safe Mode. And of course we were looking for a hiding engine that could not be easily cheated.

Federico Simonetti: I was searching through the Internet using Google and I landed onto Torry’s web site. That’s the first place I’ve seen your Hide My Folders ActiveX Control on.

Janna Chelsy: Did you try using solution by other developers? What made you prefer ours?

Federico Simonetti: Yes, I’ve tried other paths before but there is one thing that immediately convinced me that Hide My Folders ActiveX was the right solution: stability. Janna Chelsy: What for are you using our product now?

Federico Simonetti: Now Hide My Folders ActiveX is included into our BladeBox eXtreme virtual encrypted disk solution and I use it to hide container files. It effectively implements one of the features of my software and its reliability has solved many of our problems.

Janna Chelsy: How did you actually benefit from using Eltima software?

Federico Simonetti: My software has gained an important feature. So it is being sold better. And it gets higher ratings at shareware web sites. And this is really a “benefit” from my point of view. Isn’t it?
