  1. Hmmm... congratulations, however it's a pity you ignore my bug reports regarding iCal synchronization I've sent by mail and as blog comment.
    Still my events like 2007-12-23 21:00-22:30 CET iCal are synchronized as 2023-07-12 21:00-22:30 GMT, I hope your clients won't meet such problem.

    Hello
    Still the problems in syncing to iCal ; dates on my Kaiser are not recognised within Syncmate as in alle previous versions. I just sync from mobile phone to iSync, Syncmate wants to put almost everything in 2-2-2008, sometimes in the past , other time in the year 2324 or so. What goes wrong / is wrong in the settings for date etc in my pda, Syncmate or iMac ( Leopard update 2 )?
    Underneath the action log; I stopped the sync to iCal

    Can I find an answer on any of these blogs when my phone won't connect at all? All I get is the 'plug' icon lights up, but never changes into a 'USB' connection.

    I had to install the cab manually also. Using a Tmobile Dash.

  18. Vic said,

    @Udo -
    The error you received denotes that your device is either locked OR you have installed SyncMate, but its driver was not installed to your device. You should delete the old driver, reboot your device and connect it to your MAC once again.

    @paul g. -
    The same advice that was given to Udo. Please, delete the old driver, reboot your device and connect it to your MAC once again.

    @paobeleeso -
    Please, reset your profile and restart SyncMate. As for the problem with Stickies: there is an original HTC Stickies manager installed to your device by its manufacturer. This appears to be a non-standard application and we cannot support all applications of this kind. So, Stickies are saved in .txt format to a folder, denoted in SyncMate's settings and are not visible in the manager.
    Additionally, you should add Backservice.app to the exceptions list and SyncMate will work with Firewall enabled.

    On the last release you asked users to email logs of non working devices, I emailed Tina W 02/08/08 and she replied saying "
    The problem you described usually happens when device is locked.
    I recommend you to unlock your device by SDA Application Unlock. "

    I emailed her back 02/13/08 kindly asking where to download SDA application unlock for the Treo 750V and she has still not replied 2 weeks later..I just download the *Release* version and it still does not work on the Treo 750v and I get the error

    "cannot start driver, error 2"

    I would have been nice had Tina W even replied suggesting how to fix this as my phone is a very common windows mobile device, once again here is my log and hopefully someone will comment.

    @Vic
    Thanks for your response.

    1) I am using Word (and not the HTC application) on my device to open the Stickienotes transferred to my device - it seems that the resetting of profiles on Syncmate that you suggested (above to solve my contacts-syncing problem) solved my notes syncing problem (although there is a key combination in one of my notes that Syncmate does not like and will not sync! - I will try to find out what it is).

    2) Regarding contacts, I still get these anomalies in my log:
    Add 24 contacts from MAC
    AS_ADD_CONTACT error.
    --- (this line is repeated 24 times altogether)
    AS_ADD_CONTACT error.
    Change 67 contacts from MAC
    However, as before, it is not effecting my Address Book contacts on my mac, and I seem to have all of my contacts on the device too, so it is not a problem.
    (However, I had lots of problems getting contact syncing to work for the first time, after resetting the profiles - if I chose Mac to Device one-way syncing, my phone's contacts were empty and I had errors in the log. After trying everything, I finally tried Mac-Device two way syncing and my contacts were finally transferred to the device again.)

    3) Finally, I cannot carry out your suggestion regarding adding 'Backservice.app' to the exceptions list, as you seem to be referring to the firewall in Leopard - in Tiger's firewall on the iBook which I am using, I can only open UDP and TCP ports, etc.

    Thanks, and I hope this feedback is of some help.

    Hello there,

    I own a HTC S730 that synced perfectly using SyncMate (it recognized it as HTC88). That is, all appointments that were in my phone, showed up in iCal. But when I add an appointment to iCal and then sync, the new appointment doesn’t show up in the calendar of my phone. What can be the cause of this? Is this a bug? Or is there a (hidden) setting that I’m not aware of. I know the HTC S730 is not yet in the list of supported smartphones, but it already works 'half'.

    When I do a sync I get the follow error on initial start up:

    Error: Access Denied. Please switch security configuration on Your device into APPLICATION UNLOCKED mode.

    How do I change this?

  26. Vic said,

    @everyone -
    we are aware of the bugs in calendar synchronizing. we fix as much as we can. Please, don't forget to update your version of SyncMate when new builds come out.

    @Jason -
    your device may be locked by your cell phone service provider. Or, if it is not locked by your service provider, you can unlock it using SDA application unlock. This app will also tell you whether your device is locked.

    SMS synchronization feature is available only in Expert version of SyncMate. In its free version you can only use SMS reader. We were giving away registration codes for Expert version when SyncMate was still in beta. Right now we do not give free licenses anymore for activity logs sent.

    How do you install this??? I see the download for the Mac, but where is the application to load on the phone? Any directions for this? An installation guide?

  32. Vic said,

    @ Alan -
    you need to download and install SyncMate to your Mac. Then you have to establish a connection between your Mac and your device via USB or Wi-Fi. SyncMate driver will start installing to your device automatically.

    In order to deploy SyncMate Expert version, you need to purchase it. Unfortunately, we do not give away free versions anymore. In order to purchase SyncMate, please visit this page: http://mac.eltima.com/mac-synchronizer.html , choose the currency and then follow the steps given.

    Hi' syncmate is working fine, but some addresses from my mac won't be transferred to my HTC Tycn II.
    In the log, 72 times
    AS_ADD_CONTACT error
    occurs.

    I could resolve one by deleting the "assistant" field in my mac addresses.

    Is this a known issue, and is there a way to find out which contacts are causing the " AS_ADD_CONTACT error" error?

    Kind regards,

    Janwillem

    Please, try to reset history in Contact plugin and then restart SyncMate. If this doesn't help, please send your System log to our support department at support@eltima.com
