I would recommend you to unlock your device by SDA Application Unlock. Please download and install SDA Application Unlock on a PC you would find and unlock your device:
http://www.gpcarreon.com/SDA_ApplicationUnlock.zip

After that, please connect device to your Mac.

I installed the most recently available build of Basic, and can no longer sync. I deleted as_starter.exe and AsyncSvr.dll. from my device (BlackJack 2) and restarted it, but that's not solving my problem. I guess the new driver is supposed to be sent to the device when SyncMate starts up, but it's just not happening for me.

Am I doing something wrong?
Everything was working quite well before this most recent upgrade.

It is my first time to try SyncMate for my Sprint Touch. When I plug -in USB, nothing happened. On Touch screen it just show charging icon. SyncMate show no connection. On same iMac, I run WinXP by VMWare Fusion, ActiveSync never has problem to see the connection. It seems SyncMate just can not recognize it.

I cannot install SDA Application Unlock software on my Motorola Q smartphone (WM5). It says it's not a windows CE application. Furthermore, I tried following the path for OneTierPrompt on my smartphone and it does not exist. Please advise.

Hmm, running OneTierPrompt on a TOTALLY unlocked phone (I've got gobs of 3rd party apps) doesn't work. Smartphone 2005 on a Tmobile SDA. It throws a text message:

System Notification
Change of Device Settings Unsuccessful
Installation of OneTierPrompt.cpf was unsuccessful. the program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions.

Umm, can I do something to affect that? Does this have ANYTHING to do with the fact that I have a key lock on the phone?

Please, try launching One Tier Prompt. In order to find OneTierPrompt, please follow these steps:

for Pocket PCs:
Start-Programs-Accessories-OneTierPrompt.

for Smartphones:
Start-Advanced-OneTierPrompt.

You have to run it, and if it runs, our driver will start. If it doesn't, please try using SDA Application Unlock software to unlock your device. Then, if your device will ask whether to start and unknown driver, you have to press "Yes" every time been asked.

If this will not help, it means that your device is locked on a higher level, by your cellular service provider.

I've certainly ran into some bugs with the program, but in general I think its great. The latest bug i have is syncing iCal with my WM6 calendar. It says it has 'sync' ok, but a new event i've created on my device won't show up in iCal. Yet it must be in iCal because if I sync from Mac back to the device, it shows up?!

Also....has anyone had success with internet sharing?? I don't get the syncmate prompt saying 'internet has been successfully shared' unless wifi is turned on on my device. if I turn wifi off i cannot connect....ie. it is not sharing my Mac's internet connection. I have not probs with internet sharing using ActiveSync on Windows.....infact it automatically disables wifi on my device.

Any settings required with respect to Mac internet sharing or firewall settings? I've tried turning on internet sharing on my mac to the appropriate ethernet adapter....but that doesn't seem to help. Any help??
