Sebastian van Wickern, a young German student tells us what made him search for SyncMate and how he uses the product now

Personal Background: Sebastian van Wickern is a student who makes straight As right now. Today, he studies in Borken, Germany. After he finishes his studies in Borken, Sebastian will be studying Computer Science in Aachen, Germany.

Victoria Veligodsky: What challenges made you search for this kind of software?

Sebastian van Wickern: I bought an HTC Touch a few months ago. When I decided to buy a Mac the availability of such software as SyncMate was a serious reason to buy a Mac. When I heard about the new wireless feature I was a little impressed, because even the software supposed to sync my Windows Mobile 6 device was not able to do that.

Another reason why I was not satisfied with the synchronization tool from Microsoft, because I had to use Outlook, and I didn’t want to buy an expensive Outlook license.

Victoria Veligodsky: How did get to know about SyncMate?

Sebastian van Wickern: Well, I was searching the web for an application which would satisfy my need for synchronization of my Windows Mobile 6 device and my Mac. I found SyncMate, which was running without making any problems… Well and that was exactly what I was looking for.

Victoria Veligodsky: Did you try other products for the same task before choosing SyncMate? Why did you prefer our product?

Sebastian van Wickern: I tried SyncMate because there was a usable trial version and I think it is very important to try using a product before having to spend money on it. This made the difference to other tools I looked for.

Victoria Veligodsky: Please, describe how you are using SyncMate now.

Sebastian van Wickern: Well, I keep my iCal calendar and my Address book in sync by using the wireless feature. I use this feature quite frequently, so that I don’t have to worry about forgetting about any meeting. It’s also very nice to add detail to my dates on the computer which has a way more usable keyboard than my mobile device.

Victoria Veligodsky: How did you benefit from using Eltima solution?

Sebastian van Wickern: As I mentioned above, I synchronize my phone and my Mac more than daily, I got a lot of responsibilities, like tennis practice, tennis matches, open source projects, my friends and finally my studies.

Everything mentioned, plus tons of other things adds up quite an amount of meetings and dates, which I could not remember even if I wanted to. And I don’t have to anymore, because wherever I am, my Calendar is in sync.
