New SyncMate build is available for Download!
As can be derived from the title, new SyncMate build has arrived! :)
We have taken into consideration many of the users’ feature suggestions and have implemented them in this new build.
So, new features include:
- German localization
- New “Calls history” plugin. Ability to check incoming, outgoing and missed calls history
- Synchronization with Firefox
- Synchronization with Entourage
- Indication when device is connected
- SMS sending with delivery notification
- Ability to synchronize multiple calendars in iCal
- Ability to select single movie/song in iTunes playlists
- RTF format support for Notes/Stickies
- Names for notes are taken from contents of notes

Still doesn't work on my htc p3300. I'm using a macbook with Leopard. It doesn't recognize the device through ubs.

I tried to sync my MB (running 10.5.2) with my Treo 750v (running WM6) and It did not work right...
I could not push my iCal appointments to the Treo...
I got this log:
"NSGenericException: error 5 executing 'delete from RecordIdMap where purge = 1': database is locked
Exception occured while syncing: error 5 executing 'delete from RecordIdMap where purge = 1': database is locked"
What can I do do to fix it?

Ical still doesn't sync anything from mobile to mac (one way)... In addition the itunes playlist does not show up, if the default itunes-folder has been changed...
But what bugs me most: after changing a contact on my mac and syncing to mobile (one way) sometimes this contact gets duplicated and now, after several syncs every contact is duplicated... that is not what should happen.... Any solutions or plans on fixing this?
All this bugs have occured throughout the last 3 or 4 version (possibly since the first beta). PLEEEAASE fix at least the duplicate bug! Running on WM6.0

Downloaded the latest release on my Macbook Pro and connected my tytn ii. This is what the log says:

I tried to connect it via USB. The 'connect' button is greyed out (no click option). On the Mac I'm also running Windows XP, and there I can connect to my tytn ii. The usb-port is working. Any suggestions on how to solve this issue??

thanks for names for notes taken from contents of notes :-)
but I have still another problem in synchronizing notes, even if at last I think have identified the cause: every accented letter (à è ì ò ù) written in any note on my macbook prevent that note from being synchronized correctly on my smartphone (Samsung SGH-i600 with Windows Mobile 6).... I'm from Italy so I often have to deal with accented letters....

Please, try to reset your profile and then stop Mac’s synchronization service. In order to do this, please deletу the following folder along with its settings: Home directory -> library ->application support -> sync services. Just delete this folder, reboot and try to synchronize again.

In this new build you can denote in SyncMate preferences the place where your iTunes folder is.
Please, try stopping synchronization service, just like I advised to Luiz Costa.
As to your contacts problem. Such a thing could happen if your synchronization history is empty or your profile has been reset. In order to avoid such issues, before making any changes you have to synchronize your Mac and your device and only THEN make the changes you’d like to. SyncMate will see that this contact was changed and would not consider it the new one.

If you have already synchronized before, please delete the old driver’s device and reboot. Then connect again. Please, check your firewall settings.

I'm really looking forward to using the app but I'm having trouble getting it running. When I connect my phone I get the error "Can't start driver, error 5" on my phone.
I have reviewed previous comments and tried uninstalling removing all related files and reinstalling syncmate on my mac. I have removed all files from my phone (Blackjack2), restarted and attempted to connect but continue to receive the same message. Here is a copy of my log:

Please, try launching One Tier Prompt. In order to find OneTierPrompt, please follow these steps:
for Pocket PCs:
Start-Programs-Accessories-OneTierPrompt.
for Smartphones:
Start-Advanced-OneTierPrompt.
You have to run it, and if it runs, our driver will start. If it doesn't, please try using SDA Application Unlock software to unlock your device. Then, if your device will ask whether to start and unknown driver, you have to press Yes every time been asked.

It seems that your synchronization service has stopped. Please, delete the following folder along with its settings: Home directory -> library ->application support -> sync services. Just delete this folder, reboot and try to synchronize again.

One only more note. SyncMate is running well if I sync with one only calendar. Using the new multimple cals feature is giving problems
Hi, doesn't work on a Treo 750v (no sim and no netlock): Can't start driver, error 2. Deinstallation, reset and new installation doesn't solve the problem. :-(

Why can't syncmate install like all other windows mobile programs without having to worry about SDA unlocking?
I have held off on purchasing syncmate until it can actually work reliably more than a few days without "Can't start driver, error 2" or "Cannot connect to pocket"
I have run SDA unlock and it tells me my device is unlocked..so now what?
If Syncmate can never run on the Treo 750v after it has been unlocked by SDA please advise and I'll quit wasting my time

If this will not help, it means that your device is locked on a higher level, by your cellular service provider.

If you are sure that your device is unlocked, and still, you receive the same error, it means that when you started the driver once, your pressed "no" when the driver wanted to launch. Your device seemed to remember this setting. You need to delete the driver, reload and install it again, but press "yes" every time being asked. After these actions you will start the installation process all over again. Then, if your device will ask whether to start and unknown driver, you have to press Yes every time been asked. Alternatively, only hard reset will clear all SyncMate history and you can installation process all over again, but again, pressing "yes" every time being asked.

I downloaded SyncMate, and it works ok with a Blackjack i607.
However, with the Motorola Q9c, *nothing* happens. I plug in the phone via USB, and *nothing* happens in the access log.
I manually put the driver on the Q9c, but it seems that the Q9c doesn't trigger SyncMate's USB connect detection.
Help!

We ran into some problems with Motorola devices. We are aware of the issues happening and will surely let you know when those are fixed. please, follow the blog posts to find out!

SyncMate works perfectly for me on my MacBook Pro with my HTC Tytn II. No problems so far. Will probably purchase full version. Previous version didn't work, current version does.

I use a samsung i780 - when sync itunes thru syncmate.
The windows media mobile-player just play the track i chosen, and will not go further to the next track...any ideas?
Some tracks will not be converted to fit my mobile player - and some will work. Strange!
I use a macbook air with Leopard.
Just tried this out last night on my AT&T Tilt (HTC Tytn II) using a MacBook Pro running Leopard. The software did not recognise the phone as connect at first, though ActiveSync run through Win XP (through Fusion) connected and synced fine.
The trick was disabling Peer Guardian and giving the Sync Mac software permission in the Mas OS Firewall setting. Then it was able to connect and sync perfectly.
I have a MacBook Pro 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and my Motorola Q9m will not connect to the computer via the usb cable, because of its windows mobile 6 software, even though the demo said it can connect to those kinds of phones. The phone also can not be connect via WiFi as far as I know. So far I have not been able to connect my phone to SyncMate and its really giving me a headache. I would like to buy this program if I can get it to work. Is there any other way I can connect it, or is there something I am doing wrong?

I'm trying to run Syncmate on my Macbook 1.83ghz Dual Core to connect to my xv6800, but I cannot get past the "Connecting..." screen. The macbook notices the phone and starts up Syncmate, but I do not receive a prompt on the xv6800 to install the driver as the manual states. Any ideas?

i have installed syncmate on my 10.5.2 macbook. When I connect my htc touch activesync start on the htc and i get a connecting popup with a usb logo on the screen. Syncmate shows the device disconnected.

You have to check the state of your firewall, so it would allow the connection. If you were able to connect before, please, delete the old driver from the device.

You have to launch ActiveSync on your device, go to Menu – connections and check the option “when cradled”. If this option is unchecked, you will not be able to install the driver.
