SyncMate Became a Reliable Solution for use in a Sydney Hospital
Lynda Pearson, a manager of Gosford Hospital, explains how they use SyncMate on the wards
industry: healthcare
Personal Background: Lynda Pearson works as a manager for Gosford Hospital in Sydney, Australia. They run a hospital pharmacy department and use PDAs on the wards to maintain records and up-load reference material.
Victoria Veligodsky: What challenges made you search for the software of this kind?
Lynda Pearson: We run both PCs and Macs in our offices. We feel the real need to be able to synchronize our pocket PCs and PDAs into both systems. We wanted to use our PDAs more than frequently, so we needed and extra-reliable software.
Victoria Veligodsky: How did get to know about SyncMate?
Lynda Pearson: I always use Google if I need to find something on the Internet. This time I also used Google, and it led me to all the blogs where SyncMate was discussed. I read reviews and decided to go on with your product, as it seemed reliable, though with a lot of functions.
Victoria Veligodsky: Did you try other products for the same task before choosing Eltima solution? Why did you prefer our product?
Lynda Pearson: Yes, we have tried one synchronization solution, but it was notoriously un-reliable. After that the only software we tried was SyncMate, and it worked great for us!
Victoria Veligodsky: Please, describe how you are using our product now.
Lynda Pearson: Currently I am using the free version, mainly to sync in with iCal (we also sync in via active sync with outlook and novell groupwise calendars).
We are interested in using the expert version to allow us to sync in files and tasks as well as contacts/appointments. As you understand, such things are important for our work.
Victoria Veligodsky: How did you benefit from using SyncMate by Eltima?
Lynda Pearson: We are still exploring new ways how we can best use Syncmate – so far it has been a reliable way to allow access between pocket PCs (hp ipaq rx4500 windows mobile 5) and Macs. With the expert version we should be able to further extend our use of SyncMate to include file transfer between wards and pharmacy.
