We bring the freshest news to your attention, and what can be more fresh, than crispy new SyncMate release? We have prepared quite a lot for all SyncMate users!
So, let’s see what we have for you:
-Dutch, Spanish localizations
-New “mount disk” feature gives you the ability to mount your mobile device as a drive (currently in BETA stage)
-Synchronization with Google contacts using “Contacts” plugin
-Synchronization with Google calendar using “iCal” plugin

This is finally shaping up to be great! I can't wait to test the disk feature. Definitely get it out of beta.
Also there are some of us who need to wipe or reformat our devices often so it'd be really great if you could the driver cab file to keep with us for easier wifi sync.
Does this work with the moto q (with wm5)? Will it ever?

Unfortunately, moto Q mobile phone is not present on the list of the devices supported by SyncMate. But we are working hard on full support of this mobile phone model and will implement it in one of the future releases of SyncMate. Hello, I am using Missing Sync for Windows Mobile but I found Syncmate is really cool. I want to try wifi sync, but I cannot connect with my Windows Mobile 6 even with USB. Is there something I have to do before using ? I installed SyncMate 1.3 I have just downloaded in Mac OSX Leopard. Thank you.
Finally iCal synchronization works great on my Polish locale QTEK S200!. Great thanks Eltima! Now SyncMate is at last usable.
I see synchronizing contacts was polished too, no more doubled contacts even on history reset. Synchronizing pictures is great too!
Some small remarks:
[1] Calls history - time is messed up, all calls are displayed with hour shifted 2h ahead like 23:30, while it should be 21:30, probably some TZ problems, my locale is Polish, TZ is CEST (CET summer time)
[2] Reset history should have some confirmation, shouldn't it? And shall be grayed out when history is empty.
[3] SMS manager - I think it will be a great feature when it will be rethought and polished, now:
* contact names are messed, some SMSes from the same contact are displayed in several groups, i.e.: "John Doe", "John Doe (m)", "+1 123456789", "+1123456789" <- all of those is the same contact (person)
It seems that sent to messages are having OK contact, but received are messed
* can we have some sort criteria ? most/least recent, most/least SMSes number
* can we have contact names with "Lucida Grande" (default OSX font) instead of this nasty serif font? as rest of the list
* it is not possible to mark several SMSes and then delete
* it is not possible to delete all SMSes from one person
* New SMS contact popup list isn't sorted at all, moreover there's no filter so finding specific contact on my list (~200 persons) is real pain
* New SMS contact popup list numbers for selected contact have its type marked i.e. Mobile, Home, etc.
* New SMS might just close instead of popping up that message was queued for delivery when everything is OK
* New SMS number of characters / 160 and number of SMSes would be useful
And some final idea: Growl notification for incoming SMS will rock, you click and open SMS manager focused on received SMS.

Aha... one thing regarding Mount Drive.
It doesn't show up on my MacBook Pro SR, 10.5.3 in the Devices in left Finder pane so I need manually travel to /Volumes :(
why all the time I try to sync ical with my imate sp5 i get for example strings on strings like these (with the result of no syncronization.....I think you should able the time sync for the free version):

then another bug...if these errors get me stuck I want to disconnect my device....ok i do it, but my mobile (imate sp5) freeze and if I want to connect again i have to quit from syncmate....but the real problem is that i have to take off the battery from my sp5!

I still have the problem when working on my iMac with more than one open user accounts, plugging in my mobile SyncMate starts on all open instances.

2nd preview:
While connected, pulling out the USB cable without disconnecting first, SyncMate freezes my Mac in older versions, this is now gone and works perfect with this new build!
Looking into iCal recurring appointments SyncMate is doing his job now very good, all my recurring appointments are synced perfectly and showing up in iCal where there have to be.
But still im missing my categories in my contacts and my addresses have on my mobile (or Outlook) and my "to-do's" (tasks) are still not supported.

A most excellent bit of software. I am waiting to upgrade to the expert edition the minute there's some sort of To-Do/Task management - it's all I need!

Thank you for the quick response. As I believe customer service is reflective of the product, I know that Sync Mate will be top notch for the Moto Q. I will be sure to check periodically for news.
My girlfriend is switching from Windows to a Mac soon when she gets her new computer, so I was wondering if SyncMate is compatible with the Samsung BlackJack II.

I read that task/to do syncing is on the way, can you guys gives us a hint on when that might be ready.
I have read so many great things about this products, and I was about to load it when I realized that the task/to do's don't sync. That is my primary for my PDA. I use GTD tools on my mac which sync with iCal, and I need to get those To Do's/Task on my PDA.
hi, i'm currently using a htc touch cruise. After i installed syncmate, my device doesn't prompt me to install that .cab file. Where can i download that .cab file? My macbook can't sync with my device at all... pls kindly advice, thks. I'm using the latest beta version with tiger os by the way.

I just got a HTC Touch Diamond and have been trying to sync my iCal and contacts with my phone. it worked very well the first time I tried to sync things, but when I tried to sync a second time with new appointments added on the calendar on my phone, I started to experience problems.
Now, whenever I sync the device with my mac, the same appointment gets repeated each time I sync the devices. Meaning, the same appointment comes out more than once on my phone, though it remains the same on my iCal.
What could be the problem? Thank you very much.
hey vic... i just realized that everything is duplicated... my contacts AND my appointments each time i sync. pls help me, i appreciate it!

In order to help you solve the problem we need to know more details. Please, drop an e-mail to support@eltima.com and let us know which SyncMate build you are using, which sync options you are using, whether you have Entourage installed and with how many computers you are synchronizing your device. Please, don't leave the subject of the e-mail blank.

I run a MacBook Pro (10.5.4) and have a WM6 mobile device from HTC (P3470 - Pharo). I downloaded the latest version of SyncMate (1.4.0.356) and hoped that I could mount my windows mobile device, but it doesn't work. Though a Finder window opens after pressing the 'Mount Disk' button, the mobile phone won't show up in Finder...
Can you help me with this?
by the way: I controlled the settings on my smartphone and the advanced whatever function for USB PC connections is checked
sorry, need to correct my own post --> mounting worked after I plugged the usb cable out and then back in again.
Still it's strange, since Finder shows it as PocketPC folder in the Finder window, but it won't show the device in the left pane under 'Devices'...
