@ RafaelF:

1. The possible reason of the error "Can't activate RAPI session." is that Mac firewall blocks the connection or PDA firewall blocks driver installation. On Mac, try this: System Preferences -> Security/Sharing (Internet and Network)-> Firewall -> Allow All Incoming Connections.

2. Make sure that Activ Sync is started on your mobile device:
Start > Program > Activ Sync > Menu > Connections > check box "Sync all PCs using this connection" > drop down list USB

3. Also go to your Mac's Network settings and select Winmobile network adapter. Set the following configuration:

Configure: manually
ip address: 169.254.2.2
Apply and connect your mobile device.

Hi!

I've just upgraded and can no longer sync (can't activate RAPI session). Firewall is off. Performed uninstall and reinstall of SyncMate. Rebooted both machine and phone. I've noticed @Carlos Ruiz experienced the same issue as me with his Shadow.

OS X 10.6.1, T-Mobile Shadow.

Shame. I must be keeping my hardware too long! This question may be a bit outside your remit, but you know if it's possible to upgrade my phone to a more recent version? Thanks.

I think I have a similar problem to Lakewood Bob (above). On the WM I am using version 4. I can't find an Advanced Network Functionality option, but I have looked through the options under Activesync - to no avail.
On the Mac (which is new), the WM is visible in the USB bus in the System Profiller, but no where else. The software can't pick it up and no drive appears. I've looked at the firewall settings and these are set to 'Allow all incoming connections'.
Any further ideas? Is there something I need to load onto the WM device? Much appreciated as I have heard great things about Syncmate and look forward to using it!

@ Larry -
In order to utilize SyncMate successfully, you have to set everything correctly. In order to create a successful synchronization, please switch your mobile device to RNDIS or Active Sync Mode.

It looks like other people have been having trouble syncing the 8125 . I have been working with your support for 1.5 weeks now and they keep telling me to set things on my phone that cannot be set because just like the other 8125 keep telling you mobile 5.0 on the 8125 does not have these settings. I am almost past the point of thinking that this program is a waste of money.

@ Lakewood Bob
Please, let us know the version of your Mac OS and the version of Windows OS on your device. Please, check your Mac firewall settings. If you are using Windows Mobile 6, then please check Advanced Network Functionality option (on your device). Go to Settings - Connections - USB to PC and check Advanced Network Functionality box. If this doesn't help, then send the Application log to our support team support@eltima.com

@ maximus -
Thank you very much for your tests. As always, they prove to be very useful to us. Could you please let us know, how did you put messaging cache to the memory card? Please, let us also know why bookmark synchronization failed? What have you created, where, how did you try to sync them?

Just Tested the mount disk on my omnia and it worked. Last time it didn't :-) but with build 356 it did.

Bookmark synching didn't work with Firefox. It only copied both Firefox and Safari Defaults but not the others I've added even when I checked the Sync with Firefox box.

I think everyone is moving to Opera Mobile browser instead of pocket IE so you may want to check synching bookmarks.

Finally got my own WM phones and tested out the newest SyncMate build. 1.4.356.

I'm running Leopard 10.5.4, HTC TyTN II and Samsung Omnia.

I tested out Contacts, Folders and Device Info, Call History, SMS Reader, SMS manager.

Contacts worked flawlessly. there were a couple of contacts that didn't sync but I think this is mainly due to how I set it up in my nokia which synched to the address book.

Folders. Remember my complaints before synching big folders and files. well, synched 2 folders, one a 100MB, the other close to 500MB. Everything is there. On both my Kaiser and Omnia. Wasn't able to time it though but I noticed it's more stable now.

Call History is accurate on my omnia. Device Info took a while and I wasn't sure if it was going to work but SM picked it up, didn't verify each and every file type but at least I knew how much space was left on ram, My Storage (still around 14.41GB of 15GB) and storage card. SMS both reader and manager didn't pick anything up. Not sure if this is due to the setting I put in MemMaid where I made the messaging cache be directed to the My Storage.

I was also able to test out the Wi-Fi synch up (Aug 1, 2008 build) and synching contacts works ok.
