Recent problem with syncmate, when I try the sync at work I get an error "Can not connect to google.com" but I can connect fine from the same Mac via Safari and Firefox.

It seems to work correctly when I do the sync on the same laptop while at home (at least it did last time I tried it)

@ the stickie euro problem -
In the next SyncMate version Notes will be synced with notes on Mac OS Mail. We will investigate the issue with the Euro sign. Are you using the latest SyncMate build?

Hello,
there is a problem if a stickie contains a €(Euro) Sign it crashes the syncing and produces a Ä (A Desires) - Would be great if you could fix that so that the version works - And it would be Great if the Notes would not be synced back to the Stickies rather to the Notes in Mac OS Mail. Is that possible? Thanks alot you did a great software

I'm switching to Mac, and have an HP iPaq I've been using for years on my PC with ActiveSync and Outlook. I've been desperately trying to find a way to sync my calendar and contacts, and found your software. Looked like just the thing, so I downloaded it and installed the free version. I plugged in the sync cord to the USB port on my MacBook and....nothing. It seems to simply not see it at all...the "connect" and "mount disk" buttons are greyed out. I have been reading all of your help files and message posts and nothing I've found seems to solve the problem. I just sync-ed it to my PC, so I know that it's not a problem with the handheld. I've turned off the firewall on Leopard, tried setting up iSync, but still nothing. My device runs Pocket PC Version 4.20.0 (Build 14053). The SyncMate log says "Can't open input server /Library/InputManagers/" Thanks very much for your help...I really would like to see this work!!

@ vlada -
Please note that the first connection should be established via USB in order to install SyncMate driver on the mobile device. Normally SyncMate driver installation will pop up on your mobile device as soon as you attach it to your Mac. If it doesn't happen please check the following:

1) One of the possible reasons for connection failure is that Mac firewall blocks the connection or PDA firewall blocks driver installation. On Mac, try this: System Preferences -> Security/Sharing (Internet and Network)-> Firewall -> Allow All Incoming Connections.
I understand that setting your firewall to Allow all incoming connections is scary, but the fact is (confirmed by our testers and multiple clients reports) that Mac firewall's behavior is somewhat strange.

Still, you can try to temporary allow all connections to make sure that the problem is caused by the firewall.

2) If you are using Windows Mobile 6, we recommend to enable "Advanced network functionality". To do this, on your device go to: Start -> Settings -> Connections -> USB to PC.

3) Please, switch your mobile to a device mode. As you perhaps know the mobile phone can be detected by Mac in two modes: as a drive with folders or as a device (available for syncing). The mode which is to be enabled is called RNDIS or Active Sync Mode (differs depending on the device model).

4) Start > Program > Activ Sync > Menu > Connections > check box "Sync all PCs using this connection" > drop down list USB

5) Please follow System Preferences -> Sharing -> Internet Sharing. If "USB Ethernet (en1)" or "Win mobile device" option is enabled please uncheck it. Then restart your Mac.

6) Perhaps the access to your mobile device is password protected. Please check it. If the problem persists please send us SyncMate Action log for investigation.
To find SyncMate Action log please follow: Plugins -> Other Plugins -> Action log
