Every time I try and open a program this bubble pops up and says I need to update folix. I tried even purchased it but it says beta version expired. When I try to update it just says I need to relaunch. This program is more like a virus. Why do I need it now I didn’t need it before. Can I uninstall it? If not then tell me how to fix it or refund my money. This is really starting to suck.

There has been an issue with updating to the newer beta version of Folx, when the term of using previous beta version of Folx is expired.
In this case, you should uninstall the previous version of Folx completely (including removing all the plug-ins) before installing the new version.

This issue has already been fixed in the current version of Folx.

You can adjust maximum download speed by changing “Connection type” in Folx Preferences: http://wiki.eltima.com/user-guides/downloader-macos/download-settings.html
Please, note that actual maximal speed will depend on your physical internet connection.
Tried to get the Pro beta version via email as indicated, but so far have not received any reply. Sent email various times.

Hi, our Support Representative says he have sent you the reg details twice, so please, check your SPAM folder or give us another e-mail in order we could resend reg info to you.
I have purchased Folx and received license and code, which I’ve entered. The menu still tells me to buy the Pro version (So what did I pay for?) and while I can set and download PDFs easily, walk away and forget – other files are highly problematic especially flvs.

I suppose you refer to “Buy PRO version” button at Folx registration dialog (http://wiki.eltima.com/user-guides/downloader-macos/reg.html).
“Buy PRO version” is just a button to open Folx purchase page and it was not removed (even in the registered PRO version) for future references (some users might decide to purchase another copy of Folx PRO, etc.).
If your Folx “About” screen says that you’re using PRO version and that it is “Registered to:” your registration name, than you have a fully functional registered PRO version of Folx.
I have a couple of serious issues with Tags on the tool. Where do I post the details of the issues?

Hallo, is there a possibility to download folders and all of its content? I work with sharepoint from a Mac and like to download the content of documents on a sharepoint-server to my MACbook Pro. File by file is no problem but how can I automate the download of multiple files in sharepoint folders?
i lose my registration key ..what can i do now ?

i downloaded folx so i can download movies.its great for that but when i get regular emails with attachments i cant open them after downloading. does the pro version take care of that or is there a way to turn off folx as my default.

1. It is not quite clear what you mean by “when i get regular emails with attachments i cant open them after downloading”. Do you fail to open attachments? Or are attachments captured by Folx as new downloads? Please, specify.
2. For more information on PRO version features of Folx, please, refer to comparison chart at http://mac.eltima.com/download-manager.html (”PRO Version” tab). Registration license for Folx PRO Beta was sent to your e-mail – please, check.
3. If you don’t want Folx to catch downloads automatically, you can simply disable Folx plugin as it is advised in the following FAQ article at our Wiki: http://wiki.eltima.com/knowledge-base/folx/disable-plugin.html
However, if you want to download a certain file with Folx, you can select corresponding option by right-clicking download link in browser and selecting “Download With Folx” from the shortcut menu.
Hi. In Folx Pro are you able to change the settings in the download popup box? I’d really like to have “schedule” as the default, rather than immediately. Thanks, Duncan.

If you want all the downloads that you add to Folx to be processed as scheduled by default, then, please, choose the corresponding option for the first download in “New Download Task” dialog (Start download: -> Scheduled) and click “Set as default” button. Now all future download tasks will be added to Folx with “Scheduled” option by default.
I’ve tried several download managers for mac and they for the most part don’t speed up the download which they make claims they will up to 300% or they don’t take over the download automatically. I’m rather new to MAC’s and I used IDM which will increase your download speed and automatically take over the download without a lot of hassel but that was with Windows. Will this program do both?

When I use the torrent search feature (which used to work long ago), a box pops up with three options: upgrade to Folx Pro, enter unlock key, or continue in free mode. Even though I clearly have the pro edition running; when I close that box, Folx’s title bar reads: “Folx Download Manager – PRO edition (Beta-tester)”. Is there a way to fix this? Pretty Please?

1. Make sure that you’re using the latest build of Folx. The latest build of Folx (Latest build: 0.9.546.425) can be downloaded from: http://mac.eltima.com/download/downloader_mac.dmg
2. Try to re-enter your registration information into Folx.
If the issue still persists please provide us with:
* a screenshot of the registration window with your Reg Name and Reg Key entered (but before you click “Ok” button) – so that I can see FULL KEY – make two screenshots;
* a screenshot of Folx “About” screen.
