SyncMate 3.0 Has Never Been Closer!

UPD:SyncMate 3 was offcially released on January 13, 2011. Beta testing campaign finished this day and Beta version cannot be requested anymore. Please download official version from our website.
Hi everyone! Yes, SyncMate 3 will be released very soon, and right now all of you can test SyncMate 3 Beta absolutely for FREE! Just request your beta version and enjoy discovering new features of SyncMate 3 Beta!
Please, note, that if you are not a registered SyncMate user yet and buy SyncMate Expert 2.6 starting from November 2, 2010 and till SyncMate 3 official release (within the grace period), you will receive free upgrade to SyncMate 3.If you already are a registered user of SyncMate you will receive 50% upgrade discount once SyncMate 3 is officially released.
The main option added to SyncMate 3 Beta will definitely please all Mac users, who own Android devices. From now on Android phones can be synced with Macs directly! Just connect your Mac and Android via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or USB and sync data between these devices.
With SyncMate 3 Beta you can sync contacts, calendar, music, images, videos, folders and much more between Mac and Android phones. Moreover, SMS reader and SMS manager plugins are now available for Android phones. So, be sure, your Mac and Android phone will work in perfect sync with the help of SyncMate!
We’ve also improved “mount disk” option. Now you can mount Windows Mobile devices as well as Android phones as additional Mac disks via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or USB.
SyncMate 3 Beta allows you choosing which user account to sync with when syncing several Macs and also allows syncing different accounts within one Mac.
BTW, the interface has somewhat changed, we hope you’ll like it as we do.
Please note that SyncMate 3 Beta is valid until SyncMate 3 is officially released. And as you probably remember, starting from version 2.6, SyncMate doesn’t work on Mac OS X 10.4 (it is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6 only).
And here is one more fact that will stir up your interest in beta version – we will give away 5 codes for SyncMate Expert 3 for free to those users, who will provide us with the fullest reports of syncing process, possible glitches and so on. Other testers will receive friendly upgrade discount – we will inform all of you once SyncMate 3 is officially released.
Be the first to test SyncMate 3 Beta and do not forget to let us know what you think about new version!
Are there any guides on setting up 3.0 somewhere? I’m struggling to sync my Mac Calendar (Entourage or iCal) to my Android device.
@ Chris –
Please, let us know, did you have problems with SyncMate 3 Beta installation or SyncMate 3 Beta activation? If you cannot install SyncMate 3 Beta, please, read this article, if you have problems with activating SyncMate 3 beta, read this article.
You can contact our Support team (support@eltima.com) or comment here if any additional questions.
How should I be notifying you of problems?
Syncmate went into an endless loop trying to sync my Address Book with Google Contacts. There isn’t much information I can give you (how about some kind of log?), but:
It synced once, added a lot of contacts and modified others (I am surprised; it shouldn’t have added any). Then I deleted two duplicate contacts in Google and synced again. This time, it alerted me that there were two sync conflicts — that is, Sync manager (? OS X) alerted me. I resolved the two conflicts and clicked “sync now”.
Then it was endless loop time. For over two hours Syncmate 3.0 beta said it was syncing. I finally clicked “cancel”, then for another hour or so it said it was cancelling the sync. Finally I used Force Quit.

2. Please, send us your Activity log.
3. Are there any other sync tools installed on your Mac which sync Address Book in your Mac with Google?
Waiting to hear from you!
will you release a syncmate 3 free version along with syncmate expert 3?
@ steve –
SyncMate 3 will be offered in two editions – Free and Expert (as well as prevoius SyncMate version). And for now you can test SyncMate 3 Beta, which offers you plugins of both editions (Free and Expert) for free.
We have tested the Beta 3 since November 24th with the 11/23/2010 Beta Version.
Most of that time, it worked just fine.
On December 15th it started doing strange things, and only parts of the calendar synced. We always write over the Aria from the MAC. on the last sync, it erased the entire Calendar in the Aria, and also erased 4 weeks of the calendar on the MAC.
It looks like it did the exact opposite of how we had the sync setup. I personally checked the setup before and after synching, and I know we had the settings right.
I ordered the latest version of SyncMate 3 Beta and downloaded it today.
We uninstalled the old beta, and than installed today’s version on Sue’s MAC.
We also did a hard reset on Sue’s HTC Aria.
We recovered the data from Sue’s Time Machine, and she updated her calendar again.
We set the synch to go back only two weeks, and printed a paper backup of her calendar.
We set up one way synch MAC ====>Aria.
We did separate syncs of Sue’s Calendar and the Contacts, checking the results carefully.
Everything worked fine with today’s version.
I think the old version got corrupted somehow.
In any case I we are happy the new version works fine.
We hope this helps you with the Beta.

hi, i want to report some problems i have with syncmate 3.0:
(iMac 2.66 GHz, 4GB, OSX 10.6.5, HTC Desire with Android 2.2, i don’t use google and sync directly from mac to phone)
1. syncronisation takes very long compared to my Nokia E71 with iSync
2. when i change a contact on my phone or mac, syncronisation creates a new contact on the other device and leaves the old one there instead of changeing it.
3. some older events in i cal are added to my phone with every sync, so that i now have 10 times the same calendar event on one day…
sorry for the average english, regards, felix.
4. my first attempt to sync via wlan always fails, 2nd time works with problems written above.
I am getting intermittent Blue tooth connection. Sometimes it connects sometimes not. Currently I am getting a Cant connect to Android (Connect error)
Hello Syncmate-Team,
thanks for this wonderful Syncmate 3.0 Beta. It’s exactly what I’m looking for. I have a Mac OS 10.6.5 (Snow Leopard) and a Galaxy Tab (Android 2.2). I only found two little Bugs while syncing my contacts.
1st Bug: Not only the selected group is been synced –> All groups are synced.
2nd Bug: The Nickname is not syncronised.
Perhaps this Feedback helps you?
Best wishes from Austria. Lukas

@ Lukas –
Hi, we received your request and Support representative will reply asap. Thanks for your interest in SyncMate:)
@ Felix –
1. Amount of time needed for sync depends on the quantity of synced items. So, please, provide us with the Activity log during synchromization so that we may take a closer look at it. We would appreciate to receive the full log with the header where builds of SyncMate application and SyncMate drivers are listed.
2. Duplications may occur when sync history is reset, e.g. after you change sync direction sync history is cleared and if you do not make a check sync prior to making changes, SyncMate will sync changed items as new ones because there is nothing to compare it with.
Hi
A question about the IP address required for using SyncMate with Wifi. I travel between a number of locations with my MacBook. The Static IP address in the different locations may be diffe – 192. in one place and 10. in another.
Would it not be possible to use the phone Mac Address rather than than an IP address for authorising the link between the phone and the Mac otherwise the IP address would have to be updated in each location.
Like an earlier post, found that sync one Mac Address Book group, synced allMac Address Book groups.
Otherwise impressed by SyncMate Beta 3 so far.
Regards
Richard
